THE VEILS RELEASE ‘LOW LAYS THE DEVIL’ LIVE VIDEO

Today The Veils release their new video for single, Low Lays The Devil, taken from the new album, Total Depravity out now via Nettwerk Records. Watch here.

The single was originally premiered by both NME and Zane Lowe’s Beats1 show, and flew straight on the prestigious BBC 6 Music’s B List, where it remained for six weeks. The new video, filmed in London, all centers around a flamboyant devil figure.

Lead singer Finn: “This video was made by Tu Neill and I guess is a depiction of various forms of depravity we’ve witnessed in the world over the last few years, one scene of which should resonate with New Zealanders in particular. It ends with a dance-off with the Devil thrown in for good measure.”

The band’s new album, Total Depravity has been receiving critical acclaim since its release last month. UK press in particular have really got behind the release. Praised by both The Independent and The Sunday TimesThe Daily Mirror made it their album of the week and all major music monthlies reviewed. Highlights include UNCUT, who said the album is like “savage collisions of Bowie, Nick Cave and Nine Inch Nails”, Record Collector who call it the band’s “most complete and satisfying work to date,” and MOJO who heralded the “majestic Iodine and Iron”. CLASH call it “a stunning, utterly individual listen” whilst broadsheet The Independent called it “especially powerful” and an “absorbing journey.” It’s also had support from some of the UK’s biggest tastemakers, including: The Line of Best Fit, Drowned in Sound, The 405, Q, Loud&Quiet, Notion, Interview Magazine, The Skinny and much much more.

Total Depravity is out now and available on CD, Download & Deluxe Gatefold Double Vinyl.  Finn Andrews also stars in the new series of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, out 2017.
