GARDEN CITY MOVEMENT Unveils New Music Video

Garden City Movement, the Tel Aviv-based electronic trio, has revealed the video for their latest single “She’s So Untouchable.” PRESS HERE to watch via i-D. The single is from the band’s forthcoming 12″ release that will be available digitally and on vinyl on November 4th, 2016 via BLDG5 Records.

“She’s So Untouchable” is a beautifully shot 4 minute video that captures a laid-back modern tale of a lustful romance shot in an encapsulating desert setting. The video’s cinematic shots at dusk emphasizes the band’s warm instrumentals and hazy vocals. The video was directed by Mayan Toledano, a New-York based photographer, creative director and co-founder of the feminist apparel collection Me and You. Her work explores themes such as intimacy, self-expression and escapism and has been highly-praised by Vice, New York Times, Paper Magazine, Vogue, Nylon, Dazed, Refinery 29 and more.

Mayan Toledano told i-D: “When I first started thinking about the song I tried to imagine this enigmatic ‘untouchable’ character and thought that gender ambiguity is something that can really question that term. What makes someone untouchable is a combination of what we expect them to be and the lack of their obedience to those expectations. We are born into gender and all its qualifications, but it’s not something we choose or fit into necessarily.”

Garden City Movement is currently in the studio working on their debut LP, which is set to drop in early 2017.

The trio will also be opening up for Marian Hill’s headline show in Paris on November 2nd.
