Prepare to move your body to the upbeat sound of Seramic’s funky new track “Greg’s Love”, which for an added bonus features the legendary Bootsy Collins. This fun track is to be released via GMF & IAMSOUND records.
“The song began as a bass line sent to me by Greg, my bass player.” Seramic explains, continuing “It was inspired by Bootsy Collins, which is why we’re so honoured he agreed to get involved. It asks its listeners to celebrate; to find something fresh and exciting, like falling in love again, and just let go.”
Few artists have had as exciting a 2016 as Seramic. The London-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is a hybrid of musical styles both live and on recording, informed by a pan-generational cross-section of artists. The exuberant funk of Prince and Sly & the Family Stone is as vital as the classic songwriting style of Tom Waits and Van Morrison, as is the heart of gospel – whether that’s as traditional as Sister Rosetta Tharpe or as progressive as D’Angelo.
