Alternative band, The Federal Empire, just released a brand new single, “I Never Liked Your Friends.” LISTEN HERE.
“‘I Never Liked Your Friends’ is a slightly cynical love anthem about the moment after a breakup when all you have to say is that you really never liked your ex-lover’s friends anyway”, the band explains. “The soundscapes match the sentiment of solace and good riddance in the fact that at least you never have to hang out with those people again!”
The Federal Empire is a Los Angeles-based trio fronted by Chad Wolf, formerly of the multi-platinum selling band, Carolina Liar. Joined by McKay Stevens on synths / programming and Keith Varon on guitar, The Federal Empire infuse classic Americana songwriting with electronic composition and anthemic gang vocals, making for a truly one-of-a-kind sound.
Wolf, Stevens and Varon initially joined forces after a publisher requested they write songs for popular acts, such as TheChainsmokers and DavidGuetta. After writing just two tracks together, the three realized they had undeniable songwriting chemistry and decided to create a project of their very own. Hence, The Federal Empire was born.
The band has already generated quite the buzz since their inception. Over the past few months, they have played SchoolNightLA and booked gigs with notable acts including LindseyStirling and AmericanAuthors. With one Grammynomination, multiple Top 10 Billboard hits and major radio successes under their collective belt, The Federal Empire are now ready to unleash their debut EP, The American Dream this fall.
