BROOKLYN SONGWRITER RUE SNIDER ANNOUNCES BOOKISH SINGLE AND TOUR

“Stories,” the new single from North Brooklyn folk punk/Americana singer songwriter Rue Snider, is a love song to women who read books. The acoustic ballad features a prominent harmony and storytelling lyric about falling for a writer. It became a staple of live sets on the last tour and is the most celebrated tune in Rue’s catalogue. The song is being distributed worldwide by AWAL. It released Friday September 16. It is the third and final pre-release single from Rue’s second solo record Broken Window which comes out October 7.

The solo tour supporting Broken Window begins in Louisville, KY on September 27. It will continue for 6 months, making its way to California and back, passing through NYC several times, beginning with the CD release show at Pete’s Candy Store on October 7. The confirmed dates for the first leg of the tour are below.

Rue Snider has toured America extensively for 3 years playing 100 shows on the road in both 2014 and 2015. He will close 2016 with 150+ performances including SXSW and Folk Alliance International. He has shared the stage with Tom Maxwell (Squirrel Nut Zippers), Tropic of Pisces (members of Rubblebucket and Oberhofer), Superhuman Happiness (Stuart Bogie – Antibalas, Arcade Fire), Benjamin Scheuer (writer and star of “The Lion”), and Walter Salas-Humara (the Silos).
