Following its debut today on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World today, Justice’s “Randy” is out now—listen here.
Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé have always favoured sinuous and multi-entry songs. The second extract of Justice’s new album, “Randy”—a unisex name, is one of those double-edged sword tracks where opposites attract, from the rough sounds of the machines to Morgan Phalen’s soft pop vocals, up to an orchestral climax.
“Randy” announces the imminent release of Woman, the third album by Justice, set for release later this year.
Justice is Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. The Grammy-nominated duo formed in France in 2003 and quickly rose to prominence, signing with iconic label Ed Banger Records and releasing a series of acclaimed remixes, including their track “We Are Your Friends” with Simian Mobile Disco, which became an international cult hit. Their debut album † was released in 2007 and Audio, Video, Disco followed in 2011, both to widespread critical praise.
