Two Tongues Release “Truly”, 2nd Single From Two Tongues Two; Full US Tour Coming in November

Today, via a premiere with noted indie tastemaker The Wild Honey Pie, Two Tongues debuted “Truly”, the second single from their highly anticipated sophomore album Two Tongues Two out October 14th on Equal Vision Records. Whereas lead single “Azalea” saw the duo experimenting with ominous synths and a haunting aesthetic, “Truly” is a timeless, visceral piece of guitar-centric rock and roll that perfectly captures the raw, emotional force that has come to define both Max Bemis and Chris Conley as songwriters. There are very few musicians that have endeared themselves to an entire generation of rock fans the way Bemis and Conley have and “Truly” is a reminder of why this is the case. You can check out the official audio here and preorder your copy of Two Tongues Two on the band’s website.

Two Tongues is the collaboration between longtime friends Max Bemis and Chris Conley that formed in 2008, originating from a cover of Bob Dylan’s “The Man In Me” that the two had worked on together. Bemis and Conley released their debut self titled album in 2009, and made their first live appearance in 2010. Since then, both Bemis and Conley have been busy with their bands. Say Anything released a surprise album I Don’t Think It Is earlier this year, followed by a national tour. Saves The Day has also toured extensively, with sets at FYF Fest, Taste of Chaos, and an upcoming tour with Coheed and Cambria kicking off next week.

Bemis and Conley will also be embarking on their first ever Two Tongues tour this fall, following the release of Two Tongues Two. In addition to a headlining full band set, the show will feature a special collaborative set with Bemis and Conley sharing the stage to trade off playing songs from their respective band’s collection. Also performing on the full US tour is Worcester, MA-based newcomers Backwards Dancer. The four-piece outfit will also serve as the backing band for Two Tongues. Get your tickets now for what is sure to be a memorable live experience.
