Trans Siberian March Announce New Album

Comprising 12 tracks of musical miscellany – both originals and London-flavoured re-imaginings of traditional celebration tunes from the Balkans, Russia and Turkey – it’s a full-force but intricate riot of colour, recorded in high-resolution at the prestigious AIR Studios, London.

This is the second album from TSMB, purveyors of uniquely-styled Balkan and Gypsy tunes once described on Time Out as ‘the Sex Pistols of Balkan brass’. The five years since their first release (“The Tractor Makers’ Ball”) have seen the band appear at Glastonbury, Bestival, WOMAD, The Royal Festival Hall, Camden Roundhouse and Kensington Palace, as well as putting together a special collaboration show with scratch turntablist DJ Yoda that proved popular enough to appear on the festival circuit (including main stages at Camp Bestival, Shambala and more) for four years running.

“Running Away with the Circus” captures the flair infectious energy of the band’s high-octane shows and unleashes it with high-quality production that allows for a huge sound.

Recommended If You Like: Fanfare Ciorcarlia,Orkestra Del Sol, Mahala Rai Banda or even Riot Jazz – anything bold, brassy and danceable!

The album launch takes place at the Magic Garden, Battersea in London on Friday 21st October.
