THE MOWGLI’S: “Bad Thing” Premieres Today On Yahoo! Music–Third Album ‘Where’d Your Weekend Go?’ Out September 30 On Photo Finish Records

The indie-rock group THE MOWGLI’S have premiered their new single “Bad Thing” via YAHOO! MUSIC today, Thursday, September 8 (here).Listen to the song which YAHOO! describes as “Irresistibly catchy…” (9/8/16) from the Los Angeles-based sextet’s third album ‘WHERE’D YOUR WEEKEND GO?’ due out September 30 on Photo Finish Records. A hot track, “Bad Thing” will ship to Alternative Radio this week.

‘Bad Thing’ is a song that explores loneliness, a theme that shows itself a lot on this record,” explains KATIE JANE EARL vocalist for THE MOWGLI’S. “In the song we talk about the desire to connect with other people as a means of escaping loneliness, only to find out that loneliness still lingers…But maybe that’s not such a bad thing.”

THE MOWGLI’S will kick off their “WHERE’D YOUR WEEKEND GO” fall headlining U.S. tour (see dates below) on Saturday, September 17 at KAABOO Del Mar Festival in San Diego and then continue through Tuesday, October 18 in Tucson, AZ with Colony House and DREAMERS supporting on the road.

On their new album WHERE’D YOUR WEEKEND GO? the group joined forces with producer Mike Green (Paramore, All Time Low) and created an album the group describes as “… the truest representation of who we are, not just as individuals, but as a band. It is the most honest thing we’ve ever done.” “Bad Thing” was produced by Rob Ellmore (Selena Gomez, Zedd, The Veronicas) and mixed by Green.

THE MOWGLI’SCOLIN DIEDEN (vocals & guitar), JOSH HOGAN (vocals & guitar),KATIE JAYNE EARL (vocals), DAVID APPELBAUM (keys), MATTHEW DI PANNI (bass) and ANDY WARREN (drums)–play pure indie-rock that resonates with audiences all over the world. Their debut album Waiting for the Dawn (Photo Finish Records) premiered at #4 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and yielded the group their first hit song “San Francisco.” Their sophomore album Kids In Love included the feel-right summertime song “I’m Good,” originally written for an anti-bullying campaign. Following Kids In Love, they released two fan favorite songs: “Summertime”–one the group’s most streamed songs on Spotify–and “Room For All Of Us,” a song released in support of the refugee-relief organization, International Rescue Committee. The group’s hit track “San Francisco” was just featured in trailers for Academy Award®-winning writer/director Cameron Crowe‘s new TV series “ROADIES,” airing now on SHOWTIME.
