SPRING KING Share Music Video for “Detroit” + Album Out Now

Spring King have released the video to their latest single ‘Detroit,’ which premiered on Noisey. The first of two new videos, this nostalgic, tongue-in-cheek trip, is set on an early 90’s Eastern European TV dating show called Euro Lover. In the first episode we meet three contestants – Bartek from Kraków, Gary from Manchester and Nikolai from Moscow – vying for the attention of Richmond upon Thames’ very own Lady Penelope.

The video’s director Jack Whiteley, who also directed Spring King‘s ‘Rectifier‘ and ‘Demons‘ videos says: “Hosted by cult Greek television star Konstantinos Nestoridis and starring the band as the contestants, ‘Detroit’ is at once a nod to 90s TV nostalgia, a Brexit backlash and a coming of age drama that asks the question: How deep is Euro love?

Taken from their acclaimed debut album Tell Me If You Like To, released in the US by Terrible Records, ‘Detroit‘ is a breakneck paced, garage-pop singalong, which follows the widespread UK radio hit ‘The Summer‘. Spring King are one of the UK’s most dynamic new bands and are renowned for their blistering live performances. They’ve already performed on the legendary BBC TV show Later….With Jools Holland. Produced and recorded entirely by frontman – and drummer – Tarek Musa between his self-made studio in Manchester and The Chapel in Lincolnshire, the record captures the band’s growing reputations as a ferocious live band.
