Club Drive have unveiled the official lyric video for their debut single ‘Dangerous’, the title-track taken from their forthcoming EP out September 9th on NUA Entertainment.
This creative lyric video features the band in the streets of London in a variety of artistic slow motion and freeze frame shots, with scenes of blazing fires which perfectly complements the lyrical sentiments and contemporary feel of the track.
Fusing pop hook sensibilities with an inspired funk edge, ‘Dangerous’ drips with charisma. It’s a thunderous slice of pop, with the band showcasing infectious melodies wrapped up in big guitar riffs, topped off by singer Aaron Trowbridge’s falsetto vocals. Channelling the crossover potential of Maroon 5 and The Script, they also have the rock punch of You Me At Six and 5 Seconds Of Summer.
Club Drive’s debut release, their 4-track Dangerous EP, is packed with strong doses of melody, mature song writing and made-for-radio choruses. As well as the title track, ‘Leaving’ sees the band offer up those Maroon 5-tinged grooves, before bringing things down a notch and showcasing their softer side with ‘Overthrown’, and a stunning acoustic version of their track ‘What Happened’.
The band have also announced a special intimate EP launch show at The Islington, London on September 9th, which will give fans a chance to get up close and personal with the boys in a small venue. Tickets, which are selling extremely fast, are on sale now, and come with a one off physical copy of the Dangerous EP (tickets HERE)
Already making a name for themselves, Club Drive have captured the interest of Radio 1’s BBC Introducing team and have featured across the introducing network as ‘Track Of The Week’ as well as performing live sessions.
They also turned heads with their remarkable debut headline show at London’s Islington O2 Academy in May, having been a complete sell-out courtesy of an already fervent fanbase.
This weekend, the band will be bringing their impressive live show to this year’s Fusion Festival at Liverpool’s Otterpool Promenade on September 4th. The performance will see them play the main stage alongside the likes of Olly Murs, Busted, The Vamps and Ella Henderson.
