Hailey Knox will make her national television debut Monday, September 5, on NBC’s Today Show, performing her buzzworthy new single “Awkward” from her debut EP ‘A Little Awkward’ (S-Curve Records) during the 9am hour.

The performance caps an incredible summer for the 17 year-old Knox, who was recently profiled in an A1 front page story in the New York Times (“poised to become the live-streaming world’s first crossover music star”) and was just nominated for a 2016 Streamy Award in the category of “Breakthrough Artist” alongside Todrick Hall & Troye Sivan. The Streamy Awards will be held on October 4.

The video for “Awkward,” which premiered in July on Teen Vogue, is a modern day take on Bob Dylan’s classic “Subterranean Homesick Blues” and the song’s lyrics have sparked a major dialogue between parents and their teens who question the boundaries of parenting in the age of social media. Hailey will also perform live on Sirius XM’s “The Coffee House” at 12PM EST today.

Later this month Hailey will showcase her mesmerizing guitar-and-loop pedal live performance on a 29-date tour supporting Charlie Puth. Full dates below.
