INTERVIEW: Diamond Days

Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

All good here thanks, plenty of good thing going on.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “The Death of Us”? Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

There is a lot of different things that inspired us to write this track and that’s the reason we have made it the feature of the EP. This track is all about not giving up, doing what makes you who you are. This is obviously something that we can all relate to being in Diamond Days. We would t do it if we didn’t love it so much.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

Most definitely! Keep your eyes peeled for it!

Why naming the EP after this track in particular?

The EP is based around this concept. This track also inspired us to create the rest of the EP so it just seemed a perfect fit.

How was the recording and writing process?

The writing and recording process for this was really strange as we had other songs in mind to record and then these songs just came out of nowhere really quickly. A lot of it changed in the studio as the songs had been written so quickly. It was interesting to do it this way instead of overthinking it too much.

How would this EP showcase a matured side of the band?

That’s a difficult question! I can only answer this buy recommending you listen to it against the “we’ve come a long way” EP to compare.

Where did you find the inspiration for the songs and lyrics?

Everyday life and the drive to better ourselves as much as possible.

Any plans to hit the road?

For sure, November we are doing another short headline tour with our friends Veridian.

What else is happening next in Diamond Days’ world?

Haha! Just you wait and see! It’s all about to go off!
