IRATION Announces Fall Tour Dates // Single “Hotting Up” Gaining Radio Airplay Across The Country

Reggae-influenced alternative rock band IRATION will bring the heat to various cities throughout the U.S. this fall as they continue to support their latest album, HOTTING UP. The band recently revealed a slew of tour dates–featuring a mix of headlining shows and festival appearances–throughout September, October and November.

Following their performance this Saturday (8/27) at a sold out Red Rocks Amphitheatre for Reggae On the Rocks alongside 311, Steel Pulse, Morgan Heritage and more, the quintet–Micah Pueschel (lead vocals/guitar), Adam Taylor (bass), Joseph Dickens (drums), Cayson Peterson (keyboard/synth) and Micah Brown (guitar/vocals)–will headline the Shoreline Jam reggae festival at The Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA on September 10 and then head to Philadelphia on September 18 for the Radio 104.5 Summer Block Party with CHVRCHES, Miike Snow and The Griswolds, among others. IRATION then make their way to Arizona to headline the Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff September 22 and the Marquee Theatre in Tempe September 23 before their performance at the Life Is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas on September 25.

October finds the Hawaiian-bred, Santa Barbara-based group headlining the Alta Music Festival in Avila Beach, CA on October 15 with Nahko & Medicine For the People and Unified Highway and performing at the Rock 102.1 KFMA Fall Ball Music Festival in Tucson, AZ on October 16 with Weezer, Panic! At The Disco and The Struts and at Rootfire At The Park in Cocoa, FL on October 22 with Collie Buddz and The Movement. In November, IRATION will headline the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA on November 18 and the Del Mar Race Track in San Diego on November 19. See below for full list of upcoming tour dates, with more shows still to be announced.

On the radio front, the band’s current single “Hotting Up” continues to gain traction nationwide. The track–off their full-length album of the same name–is currently in rotation on 91X San Diego, KFMA Tucson, KDKB Phoenix, KUCD Honolulu, KRXP Colorado Springs, KJEE Santa Barbara, WJSE Atlantic City, WRMR Wilmington, KRXF Bend and WZLB Fort Walton. Earlier this week (8/24), the song was selected as Ted Stryker’s “420 Song Of the Day” on Los Angeles’ famed KROQ-FM, where the song is also receiving spins. The single has also gotten spins from KXTE Las Vegas, WSFS Miami, WRFF Philadelphia, WRDA Atlanta, KRZQ Reno, WEND Charlotte, KWTN Minneapolis, WLKK Buffalo, KNOB Santa Rosa, KPOI Honolulu, WSUN Tampa, WRZX Indianapolis and KZND Anchorage. Additionally, “Hotting Up” has also been featured throughout August on all iHeartRadio alt rock stations nationally via a digital streaming integration online and on their app.

HOTTING UP–released in 2015 via Three Prong Records/Caroline–was produced and co-written by Grammy Award-nominated David Manzoor (Lupe Fiasco, R. Kelly, Lloyd), mixed by Grammy Award-nominated Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Fleetwood Mac) and engineered by Will Brierre (Imagine Dragons, Youngblood Hawk, Chris Isaak). The nine-track album–which gave the band its second #1 album on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart, following its 2013 chart-topper, Automatic–also features previous radio singles “Reelin” (lyric video here) and “867” (lyric video here). Watch the animated video for “Hotting Up” HERE. The video–which sheds some light on the environmental issues affecting us all–has been viewed almost 30,000 times since its release in June. The lyric video for the song can also be seen here.

2016–which officially kicked off with a pre-game show at the San Francisco 49ers football game January 3 at Levi’s Stadium–has already proven to be another landmark year for IRATION. The road warriors spent the winter on a West Coast co-headlining tour with fellow Hawaiian rockers Pepper, followed by a spring leg of their headlining “Hotting Up Tour.” The festival favorites played to an immense crowd at BottleRock Napa Valley with performances at the One Love Cali Reggae Festival, KJEE Round-Up (where they headlined the Santa Barbara Bowl for the first time), San Diego’s 91X X-Fest, Hawaii’s Mayjah Rayjah Festival, Reggae Fest Chicago and the Thunder Valley Vibes Festival already completed. Additionally, IRATION headlined back-to-back nights at the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, CA July 9-10 (read the glowing review of the first night from the Orange Country Register HERE) and made a surprise appearance at an official Bernie Sanders event June 3 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
