Frenzy Release New Single

Enter the world of Hackney-raised Frenzy. Born and bred in East London, the young talent is fusing UK hip-hop with a diverse array of sounds. Listen here.

2016 sees Frenzy stepping to the forefront, with new single ‘Chess Moves ’ the third in a series of four summer releases, following the acclaimed and hyped ‘Drive Me Crazy’ and ‘Rolling Stone ft. SNE & AJyoungsoul’. ‘Chess Moves’ sees Frenzy’s icy, breezy flow laid over eerie synths and hard beats before the track switches direction to a blissed-out, nonchalant final minute of summer vibes.

Fast becoming a name to know on London’s streets and beyond, the lyricist is a key component of the collective I Dream Big, one of London’s most promising up-and-coming creative houses, alongside SNE, Jamilah Barry and Careless.

From 2006 to 2010 as a young teenager, Frenzy gained reputation as part of the Hackney-based Grime crew ‘S.O.S’ (Sound Of The Streets). His solo career was kick started when a video for 2012 track ‘9/10’ was in insuppressible local hit, and a staggeringly consistent, refined output followed.

Frenzy’s first solo collection, the ‘Artful Dodger’ EP, was a huge door opener for the young MC, but it was 2015’s ‘Distance’ EP that managed to capture a generation yet transcended it entirely. Produced by Sydney-based Papertoy, the pair crossed paths after a chance connection online, and the ensuing mix of cultures resulted in music that marked the Londoner’s star as firmly in the ascendant.

Having already shared the stage with the likes of Ray BLK, Ms Banks, Big Tobz, House of Pharaohs, Che Lingo, Kenny Allstar, PBGR and the legendary Roachee, Frenzy’s explosive shows are fast proving a talent you cannot ignore. And with organic support flooding in from radio stations including Reprezent, Radar Radio, Westside, BANG Radio, Pulse FM and Certified U.K., it seems Frenzy’s rise is only set to accelerate. Though his heart may live in East London, Frenzy is headed for bigger things.

The MC is about to take this generation’s East London scene from a local movement to a global force.
