F.O.X Release exciting new pop single ‘I Want To Know’

The Essex based female fronted Synth pop three some get ready to release yet another pop banger with slick new video. Watch

Formed in 2013 the band write lasting pop with big hooks and ‘I Want To Know’ is no different from that with a strong melodic sound, driving beat, thick harmonies and a huge chorus with a great 50’s male soul vocal sample.

The idea for the single ‘I Want To Know’ came about initially through a random Youtube discovery of an old 50’s act who went by the slightly unfortunate name ‘The Gaypoppers’.  They released a track called ‘I Want To Know’ at some point in the 50’s and Mitzi instantly fell in love with the singers powerful, haunting and engaging voice and catchy hooks. After much research and finding out producer, Bobby Robinson who had released some of their material was now in a care home suffering from dementia, FOX member Darren made a suggestion – ‘why don’t we make a tribute to it. So we re-wrote the track with new lyrics and melody but sampled the original vocal’.

This year the band released the single ‘Half Way To Nowhere’ from new 2 part album ‘Hypoxia’ which gained support from MTV and VIVA. They initially released their debut album ‘Chimera’ in 2013 and spent time touring across the USA with The Deer Tracks from Sweden including 5 independent shows at SXSW.  The band also have huge support from the likes of Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode who championed the band and as a result personally invited them to support DM on their Delta Machine stadium tour resulting in the band playing to over 200,000 people across Europe. They have also toured the UK with the likes of Dua Lipa, Tom O’Dell, Professor Green and Devlin.

Definitely a band to watch out for in the near future with further touring and releases to come.
