Michigan progressive metal quintet From Blue to Gray have released a new music video for ‘Fractured Reality: Obscurity’. The track is taken from Abstention of Interference, out now via Luxor Records.
Honing a fierce progressive metal sound with a pinpoint instrumental precision, From Blue to Gray have built on the release of debut EP – 2012’s “Into the Sun” – with the release of debut full-length, Abstention of Interference.
Discussing the making of the record, guitarist Tim Drexler says:“We all went through our own personal trials and tribulations during the making of this record which really bonded us as a band. We wanted to make sure that the music as well as the lyrics reflected how we were feeling. Most importantly, we also wanted people to know that we meant every f*cking word of it. We needed them to feel that.”
Since the release of “Into the Sun” four years ago, From Blue to Gray have enhanced their stock across the Midwest with a series of riveting live performances, equalled only by the mesmerising balance of technical proficiency and honest accessibility showcased on record. With a sound that explores musical boundaries beyond that of metal alone, Abstention of Interference gives nod to an array of influence, from blues to jazz and beyond, ensuring the progressive and unique ten-track is not to be missed.
From Blue to Gray have developed a quickly expanding following across their home state of Michigan, which continues to spread across the Midwest thanks to the band’s unrelenting schedule and notable radio play across Ohio, Michigan and Illinois, including support from Detroit 101.1.
Abstention of Interference is out now via Luxor Records.
