London based 4 piece indie songsmiths get set to release their brilliant new summer single ‘Run away’. Listen here.
After having only been together for just over eighteen months the boys have been busy releasing an EP made of four singles from July 2015 to April 2016 and inturn launched the band into global popularity in the online world. The singles received a lot of attention from the blogosphere – landing two premieres with The 405 and being named CLASH Magazine’s– Track Of The Day, culminating with Bare Traps reaching number seven on Hype Machine’s Most Popularchart.
New single ‘Run Away’ bursts of indie sunshine perfect for the summer months with big hooks and driving beat. After two decidedly more sombre releases, Run Away is a return to the upbeat summer sound that Bare Traps have become best known for – with infectious guitar hooks and enticing vocal melodies.
In a desperate attempt to avoid ‘real work’ – and in one individual’s case, to avoid capture – the four members of Bare Traps (Mikey, Luke, Scott and John) were brought together through a mutual appreciation of tea and disco biscuits after dragging their sorry arses to university from various parts of England. At the end of 2014 the group made the collective decision to become rock stars and have been living that delusion ever since. Bare Traps are unabashedly out to make indie-pop catchier than the clap and are hell-bent on infecting everybody.
Bare Traps played their debut show with BBC Introducing in Reading, and have subsequently been receiving a lot of love from various regional BBC Introducing shows. The guys played their first headline show to a packed out crowd in Hoxton mid May this year and followed up the next day with an extremely well-received performance at The Great Escape 2016.
This band is fully loaded with an album’s worth of new material ready to release.
