Zac Farro Announces HALFNOISE Album Release Date, Teases Paramore Tour Plans on Billboard’s ‘Alt In Our Stars’ podcast

Last week while on Billboard’s Alt In Our Stars podcast, ex-Paramore drummer Zac Farro finally revealed the release date of the forthcoming album from his main project, HALFNOISE. The band’s latest album, Sudden Feeling, will be out on Congrats! on September 9th, available for pre-order starting Friday, August 26th, and pressed on vinyl later in the fall.  Listen to the Alt In Our Stars podcast in full here.

Prior to this announcement, HALFNOISE released two singles – “Know The Feeling,” which premiered on Stereogum, and “In The Summer;” both of which highlight Farro’s desire to create an album full of tracks that showcase his eclectic taste of both pop and electronic music. After the initial release of “In The Summer,” the single was added to the “Chill Tracks” playlist on Spotify, which boasts over 650k followers.

After releasing the self-titled HALFNOISE in 2012, Farro moved to New Zealand to record his sophomore album VOLCANO CROWE in 2014; this move was the catalyst for Farro’s growth as both a singer and songwriter, as his time spent there led to a friendship with producer Joel Little (Lorde, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding), who would go on to produce HALFNOISE’s 2015 single “INSIDE.”  Following a national tour supporting BROODS, Farro returned to Nashville and soon began working on the newest HALFNOISE record, which he self-produced at Save Point Studios in Los Angeles with a handful of collaborators and close friends.
