Four time GRAMMY award-winning hip hop icon Lil Wayne is set to bring the second annual Lil’ Weezyana Festival to his hometown of New Orleans, LA in partnership with New Orleans’ radio station Q93 & Morris Bart, Esq., on Saturday, August 27th. The one-evening event hosted by Karen Civil and Q93 will include a special performance from ColleGrove – the massive collaborative project between Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, Mystikal, Migos and more. The now annual festival began last year, and featured Lil Wayne reuniting with The Hoy Boys, a special appearance by Drake, and more. The festival will return again to the Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square at the Mercedes Benz Superdome. It will also be streamed for fans around the world exclusively on the TIDAL X platform. The headlining duo, ColleGrove, released its critical acclaimed self-titled album earlier this year. The album can be streamed in its entirety here. Lil Wayne had previously teamed up with 2 Chainz for multiple collaborations during their careers including the RIAA certified platinum tracks “Rich As Fuck” and Juciy J’s “Bandz a Maker Her Dance.” Lil Wayne is excited to have another opportunity to bring his live performance back to his native city of New Orleans, and give his hometown fans a rare opportunity to see him live.
