Stash is a 24 year old rapper and songwriter from Stonebridge, north-west London. Unorthodox and intelligent in production style and wordplay, Stash treats his music like a personal diary. What is exposed is a brooding, dark and hypnotic first offering that marks him out as one of the more intriguing and inventive rappers coming out of London. Watch here.
Hard-hitting and expansive, ‘LA’ is a street banger in terms of its icy bassline and flow, but its garish, future-synth chorus, produced by fellow emerging beatmaker Denjeezy takes the track into a new level of musical experimentation.
Speaking on the track, Stash states: “LA touches on loads of little moments: in London, memories with close friends and the rollercoasters of past and present relationships. Through all of the ups and downs you go through with someone, there’s always someone who you can “drive away” with.”
Stash forms part of the London collective TOORARETODIE – a creative team made up of rappers, singers, writers and designers. The collecive have already cultivated a street trend in the caps Stash wears in his videos – the Rare snapbacks are so in demand across London that they’re constantly sold out. A true creative talent in more ways than one, Stash’s debut visual and lyrical sophistication sets the tone for an impressive artist making his move.
