SUNFLOWER BEAN Premiere New Video + Announce U.S. Tour

Earlier this year, New York psych-rock trio Sunflower Bean released their exceptional debut album Human Ceremony which is already being lauded as one of the best of 2016 by the likes of Rolling Stone and NME. The band have brought their exhilarating live shows to sold-out venues internationally non-stop ever since, including recent crowd-winning performances at Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. Today, Sunflower Bean add a month-long North American tour in the Fall to their European and Asian tour dates, and reveal the music video for their latest single “Come On.” See below to find a show near you and get your tickets HERE. Watch “Come On,” filmed at Acme Studios in Brooklyn and directed by Ruby June who shot the band’s album art, exclusively via Pitchfork HERE.

“’Come On’ is a song about time, speed, and pressure,” Sunflower Bean tell Pitchfork. “It’s a good one to play live, which gave us the idea for the video…Something that could capture the vibe and energy of the song. We made it with our friend Ruby, who shot the album cover for Human Ceremony. We love her ideas and she also understands us as people, which is really important.”

Human Ceremony was released on February 5th via Fat Possum. Drawing inspiration from a vast pool of influences such as Black Sabbath and The Cure, Sunflower Bean have crafted an album that is a potent, heady mix of swirling indie pop, urgent, fuzzed-out guitar bliss, and girl/boy sugar-spun vocal melodies that delivers a modern-day spin on classic rock & roll. It’s no wonder the album received a 4-star review from Rolling Stone, was named Rough Trade’s Album of the Month, and is spun internationally on stations including Beats 1, BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, Sirius XMU, and more.
