Nicole Atkins Heads Into Studio for New Album + Launches Pledge Campaign + New Track on “Roadies”

Nicole Atkins will head into the studio next week to record her 4th studio album, with Austin Jenkins, Josh Block and Chris Vivion of Niles City Sound handling production. Jenkins, Block and Vivion are best known as the guys responsible for producing Leon Bridges’ Grammy nominated debut album, “Coming Home.” Jenkins and Block are also known for their previous work in the band White Denim.

Nicole will preview a song from her new album when she performs “A Little Crazy” (a track she cowrote with Chris Isaak) on the season finale of “Roadies”, set to air Sunday, Aug 28. Backing her on guitar is WOLF! frontman, Scotty Metzger. Other guest performers on that show will be Jim James, Eddie Vedder, Lucius, Gary Clark Jr., Jackson Browne and Robyn Hitchcock. This will also be her acting debut. The recording of “A Little Crazy” will be available Aug 26 (2 days before the show airs) via Stardog Records /Republic Records as part of the soundtrack album for the show.

Named Rolling Stone’s “Top 10 Artists To Watch” in 2007 for her debut album Neptune City, Nicole Atkins has appeared on numerous late night TV shows, including  “The Late Show with David Letterman”, “Conan”, and “Later… with Jools Holland”, and featured in media outlets ranging from the New York Times to Time magazine. She has toured throughout the US and Europe, both headlining and also touring with The Black Keys, Mavis Staples, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Primal Scream, Chris Isaak and the Avett Brothers.

Nicole is currently the weekend morning host on Sirius XM’s “The Spectrum” channel, as well as an interviewer for the “Jam On” and “Outlaw Country” programs. Tune in to catch her show on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00am – noon Eastern Time.
