Today, Hollywood-native singer/songwriter/producer Molly Marlette premieres her music video for synth-drenched single “Do Me A Favor.” PRESS HERE to watch the video, which she directed and produced, via Galore! The video transports Molly from the freedom of a blindingly white outdoors through a haunting dreamworld – at once austere and bright – finally bursting into prismatic color at the song’s close. It’s all brought to life with an assist from some otherworldly backdrops, most prominently Vincent Lamouroux’s “Projection” installation (aka the “Bates Motel”) in L.A.’s Silver Lake neighborhood.

“Do Me A Favor” will be released via digital retailers on Friday, August 5. Fans can pre-order the track via iTunes + Amazon now.

Under the sweet sun-bright sounds, Molly Marlette, an intrepid explorer musically and visually, seeks to unearth complex truths in the shadows. She’s a postmodern spin on Hollywood classic with timeless iconography, with influences ranging from icons like Judy Garland to the boundary-pushing David Bowie and an aesthetic drawing from a goth Marilyn Monroe and punk Busby Berkeley. She is now the face of LimeCrime’s 2 MOODS makeup line and keeps her aqua-dyed Pomeranian companion Theodore (also of Instagram fame) by her side.
