INTERVIEW: Chantele DiBrava

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Rollin With The Homies”? Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

Rolling with the Homies is a song about summer, fun, and just having a good time. The title was inspired by the movie Clueless. The Britney Murphey scene to be exact!

How was the film experience?

Basically what you see is exactly what it was. We threw a party, and filmed it! The video looks exactly like the experience was.

How was the recording and writing process?

I wrote the song in the winter, it was very cold outside and I was looking forward to the summer so it was really me just daydreaming at the time about summer and hanging out with my friends.

What draw you into Country music?

The thing that first drew me to country music was the songs, melodies and musicianship.  I think Nashville has a lot of great talent. But Miranda Lambert and the Pistol Annie’s first record “Hell on Heels” was what hooked me! I fell in love at that moment! Then moved on to a whole lot of others like Florida Georgia Line, Zack Brown Band, Ashley Monroe, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood,  Little Big Town..etc…

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

I’m already getting ready for the next single! Have a couple to decide on at the moment!  Looking to release an EP in August.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

The title is something that I keep going back and forth with lol.. but the Album cover is done!! I know it should be in reverse right.. LOL

Any plans to hit the road?

I definitely want to hit the road this fall!

What else is happening next in Chantele DiBrava’s world?

More music! More Videos!!! More me! 😉
