THE KILLERS Announce Sam’s Town Vinyl Reissue & Decennial Extravaganza

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their sophomore album Sam’s Town, The Killers will be releasing a 10th anniversary Sam’s Town vinyl reissue this Fall and hosting a 2-day extravaganza at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, NV on September 30th & October 1st, 2016. Tickets for the event will go on sale August 5th at 10am PST, with presale tickets available to members of The Killers’ fan club on August 3rd starting at 10am PST. All profits from the event will go to support local Las Vegas charities for the homeless and addiction recovery.

The Sam’s Town vinyl reissue is available for pre-order now via Bong Load Records for release this Fall, PRESS HERE to pre-order. The fully re-mastered double LP will feature two bonus tracks – never before released Sam’s Town era demo “Peace of Mind” and “Read My Mind (Pet Shop Boys Stars are Blazing Mix).” The sequentially numbered records are limited to 5,016 copies and will include a special edition, coffee table book-style booklet reflecting on the 10th anniversary of the album.

The Las Vegas four-piece released Sam’s Town in 2006 – a heartfelt love letter to their hometown that was an RIAA platinum hit upon release, spent 42 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 andspawned hit singles “When You Were Young” (which was nominated for two Grammy awards) and “Read My Mind.”

Produced by Flood (U2’s The Joshua Tree, Depeche Mode’s Songs of Faith and Devotion) and Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins’ Siamese Dream, Nine Inch Nails’ The Fragile) and accompanied by imagery by photographer Anton Corbijn, who shot the cover of U2’s The Joshua Tree, Sam’s Town found The Killers adding a Springsteen-inspired Americana influence to their modern New Wave sound and catapulted them to headline status at venues like Madison Square Garden and festivals including Glastonbury and Coachella. Rolling Stone readers recently named Sam’s Town the most underrated album of the last 10 years.

To highlight the album’s achievements and celebrate the 10-year anniversary of its release, The Killers will host a Sam’s Town Decennial Extravaganza featuring:

*Performances by The Killers on Friday and Saturday night

*An expert-led tour of The Killers’ Las Vegas – from iconic spots in the band’s musical history, including Battle Born Studios and early locations that shaped each member

Tickets will be available for pre-sale to members of The Killers’ fanclub on Wednesday, August 3rd and on sale in all markets on Friday, August 5th. Travel packages will be available for purchase along with VIP experiences that include a private two-song show before the evening’s main concert.

Since the release of Sam’s Town, The Killers have released two studio albums – Day & Age and Battle Born – and a critically acclaimed B-side collection, Sawdust. The band has received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards and more.

The Killers consists of Brandon Flowers (vocals/keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitars), Mark Stoermer (bass) and Ronnie Vannucci (drums).
