LIL DURK 2X features an all-star cast of features from all over the country including Future, Yo Gotti, Young Thug, Dej Loaf, Kid Ink and Ty Dolla $ign. The eclectic mix of artists asserts that Lil Durk is not only a staple of Chicago hip hop, but also a viable artist on the national stage. During the weeks leading up to the release, “Lil Durk” released the lead singles “She Just Wanna” featuring Ty Dolla $ign as well as “Money Walk” featuring Yo Gotti. XXL declared the “She Just Wanna” a “club banger”, while “Money Walk” has bubbled to become a viral hit with fans creating their own “Money Walk” dances.

Just yesterday, RESPECT Magazine revealed Lil Durk as their cover star for the July/August digital issue. The cover story features one of the most in depth interviews with Durk to date where he discusses his rise to fame, growing up in Chicago, family and more. All of this comes as positive reviews pour in for the album with NEWSDAY proclaiming that Durk “continues to step up his game” on LIL DURK 2X.

LIL DURK 2X is the follow up to his Def Jam debut, Remember My Name, which received rave reviews when it was released in June 2015. Rolling Stone proclaimed that “Lil Durk’s fast rise to fame hasn’t dulled his sharp edges,” while the New York Times said he sounded “Dreamlike” on the album.  “It’s apparent that Durk has a solid ear for production,” raved Pitchfork, “and a nascent ability to craft songs that get caught in your ear.”  The album was anchored by the melodic single “Like Me” featuring fellow Chicagoan and Def Jam label-mate Jeremih.  He supported the album with two nationwide headline tours and a European tour since its release.

This past December, Lil Durk released his lauded mixtape 300 Days 300 Nights. The mixtape has amassed millions of plays and downloads across multiple platforms, pushed by the success of “My Beyoncé” featuring Dej Loaf and the creative Love & Basketball themed music video. Pitchfork proclaimed the project features “a reinvigorated Durk, who’s the sharpest he has been in years.” Listen HERE.

Prior to signing with Def Jam in 2012, Lil Durk was a featured rapper on numerous tracks by such stars as Juelz Santana and Meek Mill, as well as fellow Chicago rappers Lil Reese and Chief Keef.  Durk officially arrived on the Def Jam label in the summer 2014, with his stand out street anthem, “Dis Ain’t What U Want.”  The single caught the attention of the likes of Rick Ross, French Montana and Meek Mill, who hopped on the remix, leading to a national club hit.  Before releasing Remember My Name, Durk continued to release mixtapes, with Rolling Stone proclaiming his Signed To The Streets tape as one of the best of 2013; and XXL offering him a spot on their coveted “Freshmen” cover in 2014.
