MYRKUR covers Bathory’s “Song To Hall Up High” – new EP ‘Mausoleum’ out on Relapse Aug 19‏

Danish composer Amalie Bruun, better known as MYRKUR, has reimagined Bathory‘s “Song To Hall Up High“. This version was recorded live in the historic  Emanuel Vigeland Mausoleum in Oslo, Norway alongside eight other beautifully dramatic and stripped-down acoustic reinventions of songs from her critically-acclaimed, masterful debut full-length M. Listen: “Song To Hall Up High” on Soundcloud

Mausoleum was captured in a cold, dimly-lit tomb covered in morbid frescos that depict the circle of human life from conception til death all with the accompaniment of the storied Norwegian Girls Choir and Håvard (ex-Ulver) on guitar. Mausoleum is an incredible showcase of MYRKUR‘s sublime yet haunting voice in a truly chilling, unrivaled atmosphere.
