GILLIAN WELCH TO JOIN ARETHA FRANKLIN AT CITY WINERY OPEN; ON TOUR THROUGH SEPTEMBER‏

Singer Songwriter and Americana legend Gillian Welch will be joining Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin on Sunday, September 18th at the two-day City Winery Open at Forest Hills Stadium.  Gillian will be touring across North America up until that date with musical partner, Dave Rawlings.  The two recently took home the prestigious Lifetime Achievement for Songwriting at the Americana Awards in 2015, and are constantly on the road playing throughout America in various different groups, most recently, as part of the Dave Rawlings Machine.

This year being the 20th anniversary of her first release, Revival, the focus has shifted more towards Gillian’s beautiful and timeless tracks, taking them across America and serenading small and big towns alike.  Full tour dates listed below.
