Although DAMEHT were longtime admirers of Patterson’s work, it was a chance encounter that led to their first collaboration together three years ago – Triberus,DAMEHT’s three-headed black cat protector interpreted by Patterson, which often appears on the band’s jacket backs. In 2014, DAMEHT produced the $16 Burger Show honoring Patterson -it earned the attention of theNew York Times (PRESS HERE for the story.) Having met DAMEHT just as he was fed up with New York City’s cultural decline and was ready to leave the city for good, Patterson now has a restored hope in the city’s future thanks to his creative partnership with the band. Patterson may have said it best: “It’s exciting… It feels like we’ve got youth here – youth, vitality and interest. It’s almost like we’re on the threshold of a new moment. Who knows? Maybe this is the beginning of an actual beginning.”
DAMEHT was formed in New York City by Rivington Starchild, Lucas Garzoli, and Roman Lewis.
