DAMEHT: New Single & Streetwear Merch Collaboration with Clayton Patterson‏

Known for their raging secret shows and pop-up performances, New York City punk collective DAMEHT has released their new single “Creeper Creeper” via All Things Go. PRESS HERE to watch the video which takes cues from the New Romanticism movement and the essence of Steve Strange, Soo the Cat Woman, the Surrealist Ball of 1972, Tompkins Square punks, and the pop avant-garde alike. Featuring the band’s signature blend of danceable raw synths, punk rock overtones, power drums and wailing guitars – all topped with a pleasantly surprising pop melody – “Creeper Creeper” is a thrilling taste of what’s to come. DAMEHT will release their forthcoming EP this October. “Creeper Creeper” is available nowon iTunes and across all DSPs.

DAMEHT is also preparing to release a new line of streetwear merchandise designed with legendary Lower East Side outlaw artist Clayton Patterson. This will include the original collection of Clayton Caps© – an initial run of five-panel hats featuring seven of Patterson’s iconic embroidery designs originally dating back to 1986. This season’s cap and merchandise collection will be available in the U.S. on August 31 via www.DAMEHT.com with more original designs from Clayton’s extensive archive on the way. The caps are debuting exclusively with United Arrows & Sons across Japan and Taiwan in a pop-up shop for hats run by Tea Club Scheme Team.

Although DAMEHT were longtime admirers of Patterson’s work, it was a chance encounter that led to their first collaboration together three years ago – Triberus, DAMEHT’s three-headed black cat protector interpreted by Patterson, which often appears on the band’s jacket backs. In 2014, DAMEHT produced the $16 Burger Show honoring Patterson -it earned the attention of the New York Times (PRESS HERE for the story.) Having met DAMEHT just as he was fed up with New York City’s cultural decline and was ready to leave the city for good, Patterson now has a restored hope in the city’s future thanks to his creative partnership with the band. Patterson may have said it best: “It’s exciting… It feels like we’ve got youth here – youth, vitality and interest. It’s almost like we’re on the threshold of a new moment. Who knows? Maybe this is the beginning of an actual beginning.”

DAMEHT was formed in New York City by Rivington Starchild, Lucas Garzoli, and Roman Lewis.
