POP ETC recently shared their cover of “It’s Alright” by Sam Cooke via Neon Gold.

Earlier this month, the band launched a bundle in their online shop that consists of a signed copy of Souvenir on vinyl in additional to a handwritten, personalized postcard from the band on the road during their travels.

After a lot of fans wrote to the Brooklyn-based trio with questions about their songwriting and recording process, the band decided to share a home demo of “What Am I Becoming?” which served as a blueprint of the track for the band. They also unveiled a soundcheck version of the song.

“During the making of Souvenir we wrote and recorded over a hundred songs, sometimes recording several versions of a song until we got it right.” explains lead singer Christopher Chu. “‘What Am I Becoming? was particularly tough. All three of us believed in the song, but it took recording it 4 or 5 times until we were all 100% happy with it. The home demo will give you an idea of how much these songs change as we tinker away on them.”

POP ETC also recently shared a cover of  Elvis Costello’s “Alison.”

The band will perform at Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival on August 21st, sharing the stage with 1975, Suede, and James Bay.
