Meanwhile, STEVE AOKI heads up the latest ground-breaking summertime collection of the Spanish company Hawkers with “Neon,” a special eyewear edition, presented with a revolutionary video inspired by pop art artist Andy Warhol. At the beginning of the 80’s, Warhol was the star of a video which entered the history of conceptual art in which he simply eats a hamburger. Macaulay Culkin later followed eating a pizza and it´s now AOKI who puts out his own version with one of the main elements of his concerts: cake. The new colorful and vibrant collection includes six models, each one featuring a different color (green, blue, purple, red, yellow, and pink). The unisex polarized sunglasses provide a major glare reduction and a 100% UV protection due to its neon lenses and its black arms. It has a light structure, without any metal pieces, made of the high-quality and highest resistance polycarbonate of the market, together with the lenses produced by prestigious German manufacturers.
