Today, The Head and the Heart reveal the second single from their forthcoming album Signs Of Light. “Library Magic” was released this morning and will be free to anyone who pre-orders the record or who has already placed their pre-order. “Library Magic” is the follow up to the previously released single, “All We Ever Knew,” which debuted last month and is already in the top 5 at AAA, and #18 this week on the Alternative chart. Signs of Light will be released on September 9th via Warner Bros. Records.
“Library Magic,” which was written by band member Charity Thielen, could almost be seen as a letter to the other five members, acknowledging the ups-and-downs of life in a successful band while celebrating the unique and constantly evolving bond between them. “I wrote that song after having our first real time off as a band,” she says. “It touches on the storied relationships between band members trying to survive living in a van off of accelerated time and gas station crafts for years straight, but it also applies to any of life’s relationships.”
Very excited to share our song, Library Magic, with you! It is very
special to us and touches on the important reminder for the quotidien,
“there will always be better days.” Hope it finds a special resonance in
your life too.
