AlunaGeorge Announce New Album

The eagerly awaited sophomore album, I Remember, from London duo AlunaGeorge is now available for pre-order HERE. The album will be released September 16 by Interscope Records / Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.

Album preorder includes instant downloads of the band’s new single, “Mean What I Mean,” which premiered yesterday on Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on BBC Radio One in the UK.  Also receive previously released tracks “I’m In Control,” featuring Popcaan, The Flume-produced “I Remember,” and “My Blood,” featuring Zhu.

Written and recorded in LA and London, the album sees them maintain their unique sonic palette, while pushing forward into bolder territories by channeling personal experience into a delicious mélange of pop styles. “We were going for that holy grail of songwriting,” says Aluna. “It was an attitude of ‘let’s see what else we can do’,” adds George. The upcoming release marks an opening of their creative process to new inputs and influences, as exemplified in its diverse list of collaborators.

Aluna says, “It started to feel a bit like we had all these friends in music that we liked hanging out with but we haven’t shared AlunaGeorge with anyone else, and at some point we were like ‘why not?’ Let’s open it up a bit more. We wanted to let people in a bit more now that we’re more confident in our sound.”

AlunaGeorge, includes singer/lyricist Aluna Francis and producer George Reid, are currently on the road for their I’m In Control headliner tour and will then join Sia on her Nostalgic For The Present arena tour starting on September 29.  Please see below for Canadian dates.
