In the wake of their recently released Love LP (May 27, The Flenser), Portland OR’s Muscle and Marrow have unveiled the album’s first music video. Check out “Black Hole” today via Impose Magazinewho said: “The video is art. Not easy to swallow at times because of the clarity of some of the visuals, it’s living, breathing observance of women in different phases, with a nod toward the morbid. We wouldn’t expect anything less from this talented and unique duo.” Watch the video here.
Along with themes of death and loss, Muscle and Marrow’sLove LP touches on feminism and female archetypes, a topic that vocalist Kira Clark is very interested in. “It’s cathartic and alluring for me to delve into feminine madness because, of course, that character is inside me somewhere all of the time and to give her permission to surface in my art is powerful,” comments Clark. Listen to the Love album in its entirety (along with an interview with Muscle and Marrow) here.
