Day 3 (July 1, 2016) of MOSMA commenced with two press conferences, with guests Kenji Kawai (RANMA, RINGU) and the legendary Italian composer Pino Donaggio (CARRIE, BODY DOUBLE).
Argentinian composer Federico Jusid then hosted a public panel where he spoke about his work for Spanish television (including ISABEL and CARLOS, REY EMPERADOR) and films MISCONDUCT, NERUDA, and the upcoming KIDNAP.
The evening concert, which took place at Teatro Echegaray, featured “Golden Scores” curated by Tadlow Records founder James Fitzpatrick. The concert featured classic film music from EL CID, THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, DR. ZHIVAGO and more recent classics from GLADIATOR and STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS.
Following the public concert, a private invitation only gala was held at the Russian Museum, where the Jerry Goldsmith Awards were presented. In attendance were MOSMA guests including Pino Donaggio, Federico Jusid, Kenji Kawai, Daniel Pemberton, and Sean Callery. The winners are as follows:
