Hitting the road for the 15th year, summer concert tour and branded festival experience, Camplified, kicks off on July 4th at Timber Lake West in Roscoe, NY. Camplified will transform camps across the nation into music festivals; complete with a day full of sponsor-branded activities, music performances by bands of all genres, and capping the night with a live DJ set for campers at the appropriately titled, “Electric Canteen.” This summer, Camplified, will be making stops at 30 summer camps nationwide from July 4 to August 5 and will reach over 30,000 taste-makingteens and tweens.
“Words can’t explain the feeling campers get when they walk through the gates of KenMont and KenWood Camps on the first day,” says Scott Rothschild, Director of KenMont and KenWood Camps. “Adding Camplified to our summer program for the third year in a row not only gets our campers excited but adds a unique music festival type feel to our Sunday Event Day. There is absolutely nothing I believe more than the magic of summer camp and Camplified “amplifies” the magic!”
Matt Layman, Assistant Director of Indian Head Camp, is equally as excited saying, “What better way to bring music and camp together in once place! Camplified has been bringing amazing up & coming musicians to camps across the country for the last 15 years. You can clearly see that Aimee Berger and her entire production team are working round the clock to make the 15th anniversary a special one. Our campers are counting down the days until the production team rolls through the camp gates. Indian Head is P-S-Y-C-H-E-D to ‘Welcome Home’ the 2016 Camplified tour!”
The Camplified day culminates with the live concert, including performances by 3-4 emerging artists, a DJ set for the ‘after party’ and in true VIP style, campers receive a limited edition tour poster as well as a meet-n-greet and autograph signing session with the performers and tons of other swag provided by our brand partners. This year’s artists include Zack Zilla, The Catching, Jagged Row, DJ Kiss, Mariel, Tyson, Missyou, Brian Mackey, Pom Oak, and Route 111. Also joining the tour on select dates is Beyoncé protege and Parkwood Entertainment artist, Sophie Beem, who can’t wait to head out on the road saying, “After just being on tour with Charlie Puth, I’m so excited to do it again with Camplified and meet my fans in person.”
Of this year’s talent line-up, Camplified founder Aimee Berger says, “We take great pride in finding extremely talented up and coming artists. This tour is that launching pad that provides a proven artist development vehicle just before an artist’s breakout single or EP hits the market.” She goes on, “We have exclusively been able to generate massive outreach to tween and teen tastemakers through the resources provided to us at summer camps across the country. I am grateful for the trusted relationships I have cultivated with the camp owners and directors all over the United States, who have entrusted in me, the captive audience of their campers to be entertained and to partake in activities powered by our brands.”
Leading up to the show, sponsor-branded activities are run on-site with campers rotating through each station, and artists participating alongside, making ‘backstage access’ an all day event. This year sponsors include Michael’s, Simon and Schuster’s imprint Aladdin, Roland Instruments, Hint Water, U-Scooters, Haribo, Pioneer DJ, Kan Jam, Penguin Random House, SunStaches, SpacePOP, and Heely’s.
“Partnering with Camplified on the launch of our new brand SpacePOP provides us with an ideal opportunity to offer a multifaceted experience to tweens and teens at 50 camps nationwide” said Stone Newman, President, Global Consumer Products & Marketing for Genius Brands International. “Music, friendship and adventure are what SpacePOP is all about, and we are creating a fun and interactive program that merges all of these qualities through activities featuring our cool, original music and content.”
“Heely’s is excited to partner with Camplified this summer,” says Liz Mandracchia, VP of Marketing, Heely’s. “The chance to dance wearing Heely’s will only add to the thrill of the summer camp experience for these kids.”
Developed by music executive Aimee Berger and powered in partnership with Primary Wave Entertainment and Brand Synergy Group, Camplified will execute over 120 performances in under two months, giving its Bands & Brands unparalleled access to tastemaker teens and tweens. Emerging bands and artists tour to guaranteed large crowds, and sponsors get to directly connect with an engaged audience of 6 – 17 year olds, an especially hard to reach demographic during the summer. Camplified is heralded by bands, brands, and camps as a consistently cost effective platform; and with their constant innovation to ensure stellar talent and activities, campers look forward to the day the trucks roll on site.
