In the words of the band: “‘The Everest’ is titled as such as it deals with a great obstacle. I read an account of an ordeal described as “the Everest of trauma” and it stayed with me. In this case, the obstacle is loss and bereavement. The song itself serves as an assurance to a loved one; no matter how deep their grief, their resilience and strength of character will see them through.”

A refreshing and unique blend of atmospheric alt-rock and cinematic post-rock, FOES have achieved an impressive amount since their 2013 debut Ophir. Garnering support from the likes of Kerrang, Rock Sound (“sheer brilliance”), Clash, Q, DIY (“rock-solid riffs and first-album Oceansize atmospherics”) and more, the band have played alongside the likes of 36 Crazyfists, Hacktivist, Press to Meco, The Xcerts, and Listener, just to name a few.

Catch FOES at the following:

29.06.2016 – London, The Black Heart (w/ Destiny Potato + Disperse)
23.07.2016 – Sheffield, Tramlines Festival
20.08.2016 – Bristol, ArcTanGent Festival
