Can you talk to us more about your latest single “IWU (Do You Really Wanna?)”?
It´s a song about longing and being confident and impatient in the wanting of someone.
Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?
Stina just got a flashback to the feeling, when you really want someone, and you’re not sure what the other person think, and you want them to take the chance – to believe in love!
How was the film experience of the video?
We had a clear idea – a boring office – the pretty invisible guy that comes first to work and leaves last – every Friday afternoon he has 3 minutes of being a king! What you see is not always what you get…! The filmin went very smooth, we had so much fun.
The single comes off your new album That Weary Heart of Yours – what’s the story behind the title?
It´s a quote from the song “For rest” that is our second single from the album. We believe that we all have strong, weary, happy, sad hearts – the people living on this planet is not that different from each other, we need to address the weary hearts of others- and music is one way of doing that.
How was the recording and writing process?
We meet up every week, sometimes we end up recording something totally new, sometimes one of us has an idea that comes to life after writing together or in the recording process. And when the song sounds like it should, it´s ready! Up until now it has always been very explicit when a song is done, it´s like it´s already there, we kind of catch it and make it alive.
What role does Stockholm play in your music?
Hard to say, we met in Stockholm, we live in Stockholm and we do love our city. Since our greatest inspiration is everyday life of course our surroundings and the context we´re living in does have a great impact.
Would all the songs on this record deal with love?
Well, with life and death and thereby love of different kinds and in different shapes!
