Eastern Soul Singer-songwriter NAGAVALLI – Releases New Single “How I Love You”‏

Hailing from Austin, Texas via Mumbai, India, Nagavalli releases her new single, “How I Love You,” an ode to her late father who passed away in early 2015. “How I Love You” is Nagavalli’s second single in her series of Eastern soul single releases this year. Ranked among the Top 10 Female vocals and World Music artists at the 2015-16 Austin Music Awards, Nagavalli spreads her good vibes to even wider audiences with her organic blend of pop and soul, marinated in pure Eastern tradition. Born and raised in India, Nagavalli earned her Masters degree in Information Systems at Florida State University and moved to Austin to work for a technology firm. Despite her successful IT career, Nagavalli realized it is in music where she experienced pure joy and became fascinated with how music connected people to one another. She began singing and writing her own songs and soon assembled a band to record and perform shows with her. She recruited artists from a variety of genres, ranging from Latin, rock and jazz musicians to East-Indian and Middle-Eastern classical and folk musicians, and her very own style of music, which she coined Eastern soul, was born. She teamed up with Austin’s local, award-winning producer, AJ Vallejo, to produce her debut album, which she titled Eastern Soul, and released in April 2012.
