TELLURIDE BLUES & BREWS FESTIVAL: Expands Line-Up with Additional Musical Acts and Comedians‏

Music, Beer and Comedy…this is what festival-goers can look forward to at the 23rd Annual TELLURIDE BLUES & BREWS FESTIVAL. Festival organizers continue to expand the bill with the addition of comedians and additional musical talent to the already eclectic mix of live blues, funk, indie, rock, jam band, gospel and soul performances. On the music side, Tommy Castro and the Painkillers, Phil Wiggins and George Kilby Jr. Trio with Andy Calder, Eagle Eye Williamson, Isaac Aragon & The Healing, and performance painter Scramble Campbell expand the line-up, while comedians Sarah Tiana and Eddie Ifft join Troy Walker and Sam Tallent to elevate the reach of the annual event.  As in previous years, four comedians will be featured both Saturday and Sunday nights on the Blues Stage, along with Friday and Saturday night sets at Juke Joints at Arroyo Wine Bar and Gallery.

“Each year we try to diversify the festival and make it not just a music festival with beer but a musical ‘experience,'” says Steve Gumble, President SBG Productions.  “Now in its third year comedy rounds out that experience. This year we have stepped up our game and invited international touring comedians Sarah Tiana and Eddie Ifft to join returning comedian Troy Walker as well as Colorado favorite Sam Tallent.  Besides, we all need some laughter in our lives!”

These latest additions join Joe Walsh and Jason Isbell who lead the Friday bill, with Gary Clark, Jr. and Anders Osborne set to perform on Saturday, and The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band featuring Rick Vito and Vintage Trouble closing out the festival on Sunday.  Festival goers can kick off the weekend’s festivities with a few pre-fest shows in Mountain Village and downtown Telluride on Thursday.

Set for September 16-18 in the world-famous mountain town of Telluride, CO–in the heart of the Rocky Mountains–the festival site offers one of America’s most breathtaking venues with three days devoted to music, craft beer and unforgettable memories.  The town is surrounded by mountains, creating a divine atmosphere nestled in the heart of Colorado where the music can resound at its most powerful.

Beyond the entertainment, the TELLURIDE BLUES & BREWS FESTIVAL elevates the blues and beer vanguard to a new level once again. The festival uncorks an equally impressive and diverse slate of 56 microbreweries boasting 170 styles of craft beer and cider. This year’s official beer sponsor Sierra Nevada Brewing Company will also be on hand with a bevy of favorites for tasting, trying, and enjoying.

A variety of ticketing options can be found at the festival’s Website.
