Adriatique remix Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin‏

Following on from their recent double-sided ‘Soul Valley’ EP, DJ and production duo Adriatique continue to build momentum with their latest offering. The duo’s remix of Marc Romboy & Stephan Bodzin’s ‘Atlas’ is out now via Systematic Recordings. Stream ‘Atlas’ (Adriatique Remix) here:

Adriatique have chosen to conserve the strolling pace and much of the structure of the iconic original, yet their distinctive touch is evident from the beginning. The multi-layered soundscape is typical of the duo’s skill for atmospheric production, whilst the juddering bass gives this remix a deep and dark feel. Much like the original, the distinctive keys are teased in before all other elements drop away to reveal the instantly recognisable melody.

With Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin’s ‘Atlas’ having been released almost ten years ago, Adriatique’s remix is a tasteful update and a reminder that a detail-orientated and progressive approach to production can lead to some of the most memorable dance floor moments.
