KENDRA FOSTER (@MzKendraFoster) Premieres “Sweeta”

Ahead of the release of her self-titled album on June 24 (EarKandy Music), Kendra Foster has unveiled another funky gem, “Sweeta.” PRESS HERE to listen via OkayPlayer. The thumping R&B track showcases Kendra’s full vocal range with soaring melodies and rhythmic harmonies over a steady beat.

The Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter worked with producer Kelvin Wooten (Mary J. Blige, Macy Gray, TLC) to craft the 10-track collection dripping with classic R&B grooves and funky undercurrents. Kendra is known as a member of George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelic, and has written for the likes of Mark Ronson, Sunshine Anderson &, PFunk Allstars. It washer contributions to D’Angelo’s acclaimed Black Messiah album that had heads turning last year, not only for her illustrious singing on the record as part of The Vanguard but for her brilliant co-writing on eight of the album’s tracks. Her work with D’Angelo won her two Grammys for Best R&B Album & Best R&B Song (“Really Love”).
