ALTERNATIVE ROCKER HEROIN GIRLS DEBUTS NEW SINGLE “THE GIRLS I WISH I NEVER KNEW” OFF INTRODUCTORY ALBUM INTRODUCING HEROIN GIRLS

Alternative rock group, Heroin Girls, announces the release of their single, “The Girls I Wish I Never Knew.” This is the first track off the artist’s debut album, Introducing Heroin Girls, due out on July 1st. LISTEN HERE

Heroin Girls is headed by artist, producer and performer, Billy Bulger. Bulger stands as the figurehead of Heroin Girls and has been performing under the moniker since the project started in 2013. The Heroin Girls’ sound has been compared favorably to alternative rock groups like The White Stripes, Sex Pistols and Black Lips for its harsh tone and low‐fi production. While the imagery, lyrical content and social commentary of the Heroin Girls work has been viewed by some as a glamorization of taboo themes such as self harm, teen anorexia, pornography and underage sex, the record can be described as a mix of low budget alternative rock with an intelligent use of melody. It was recorded on analogue equipment and was neither mastered nor given additional mixing to attain its edgier, harder end‐result. Check out the debut single off the introductory album and stay tuned for more from the Heroin Girls!
