NYC’s LUCKY CHOPS Set Off For World Tour‏

After selling out nearly every date on their recent European tour, LUCKY CHOPS – NYC’s underground sensation (literally, since they got their start in the NYC subway system) are set for the first leg of a massive world tour starting this Summer beginning in late June. In addition to headlining shows at venues like New York’s Brooklyn Bowl, Philadelphia’s World Café, and U-Street Music Hall in Washington, DC, the six-piece brass based rock band will also be making stops at notable festivals like the Montreal, Rochester and Richmond Jazz Festivals, Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI, Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA and the Empire State Concert Series in Albany, NY.  For a full schedule, check out the dates below! Many more dates to still be announced.

“Lots of our fans only know us through our online videos so getting to perform live for them is such an unreal experience for us,” explains trombonist Josh Holcomb. “The amount of love and energy at each show is just overwhelming. No video can convey that level of emotion. We want to experience that magic with all our fans across America and across the globe and we’re thrilled to be able to do that with our epic 2016 touring schedule.”

The release of their latest original, “Best Things” was announced on Thursday of last week. “One night I had plans to go out to a fancy place,” Holcomb recalls about writing the upbeat pop song. “When I arrived I decided that it wasn’t my vibe at all and that I really didn’t need to spend money to have fun, so I turned around and walked back home by myself for two hours, whistling this happy melody and feeling quite content.” The result of that night is excitingly infectious single that showcases solos from all the players in the band, showing off their adept technical playing skills as well as their keen ear for pop songwriting. Holcomb adds. “In NYC it’s easy to get caught up in the Wall Street money driven mindset. This song is about the simple pleasures of life and it reminds us that the best things in life are indeed free.”

In the spirit of “the best things in life are free”, the band is also offering fans a free download of “Best Things” via Bandcamp, grab the single here:  https://luckychops.bandcamp.com/track/best-things
