Globaile is a new event curated by Buraka Som Sistema, where Lisbon’s most international band will celebrate their final show on July 1st before their announced hiatus. The free entrance festival aims to confirm Lisbon as the world capital of the global club music scene, as it celebrates the Buraka musical legacy established over 10 years of activity.
The event curated by Buraka Som Sistema in association with Enchufada, Arruada, EGEAC and the Lisbon City Hall includes a global line-up composed by Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue, Brazilian phenomenon MC Bin Laden and Buraka themselves on their farewell concert on the Komba Stage, as well as Portuguese DJs and producers KKing Kong and Dotorado Pro, and South African collective Batuk on the IC19 Stage. Red Bull, who have been decade-long partner of Buraka’s career, are also celebrating the anniversary with a special limited edition can and will be live streaming the event to the whole world.
Globaile will have a space dedicated to food trucks, ensuring a wide variety of global flavours at the Torre de Belém gardens, as well as photography exhibit celebrating one decade of Buraka Som Sistema. Globaile completes a celebration of a decade of activity that begun in February with a world tour that took the band across the world to countries like Colombia, United States, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
