British rising star, Anne-Marie, has unveiled her belting, brand new single ‘Alarm’ and the accompanying video. The track is available now on Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes and you can view the official video here:

‘Alarm’, produced by Steve Mac with additional production by Amir Amor of Rudimental, showcases the Essex native’s ability to bend the current pop landscape to her will and sees the 25-year-old flying the flag for British R&B/pop in 2016. The official video, directed by Malia James, was shot in Mexico this month and pays loose homage to Baz Luhrmann’s 1996 cult movie ‘Romeo and Juliet.. Speaking about the track, Anne-Marie commented – “Alarm is about somebody I was dating and I guess I just always had a suspicion that he was doing something naughty. I’m a bit of an investigator and I found out my inkling was right! The thing is, he left someone to be with me and I always thought he could do it again. I love this song so much and I hope you love it too!”

Anne-Marie’s previous track caught the attention of the masses was the bass-infused single Do It Right’ (official video), which hit the Top 3 on Hype Machine’s ‘Popular’ chart. The official video has garnered over 2.9 MILLION YouTube views and audio reaching over eight million Spotify plays, peaking at #9 on Shazam’s ‘Future Hits.’ Do It Right’ also recently shot to Number 14 on Australia’s iTunes chart! Around the release of ‘Do It Right’, Anne-Marie was main support to Rudimental on their UK tour – a band whom she toured with for over two years as their lead vocalist prior to her solo start – which included a date at the 16,000 capacity London O2 Arena. She also recently performed vocals in Radio 1Xtra’s Live Lounge alongside G-Eazy on his track ‘Me, Myself and I’ (watch here).

The three-time world Shotokan-style karate champion, who was crowned the winner of MTV’s Brand New for 2016 in January with their biggest-ever votes, has been busy in the studio working on her debut album over recent months. Taking on the likes of Steve Mac, Fraser T. Smith, Digital Farm Animals, Two Inch Punch and of course Rudimental (to name a few) for production duties, you can expect Anne-Marie to dominate the charts in 2016 with her ballsy, crowd-pleasing, chart-ready gems. Last year, the starlet unveiled her debut EP ‘Karate’, catapulting her name through the blogs as one to watch with her infectious and personality-led tracks ‘Karate’, ‘Gemini’ and the straight-up attitudinal ‘Boy’ (official video). The Essex native ha toured with Magnetic Man, Gorgon City and more.

Anne-Marie will be playing a vast array of festivals this summer in Europe, including Wireless, The Great Escape, Parklife and Wild Life. Stay tuned for album news!
