T.O.L.D. Release New Music Video For “Master of the Species”‏

Noisey premiered the new video for “Master of the Species” from 25-year-old electro-pop necromancer T.O.L.D. (aka Dan Smith), praising it for its “emphasis on contrast between light and dark.”

While the song itself is a reflection on the privilege of being born human, the Garrett Curtis-directed video shows Smith (and Smith clones) wandering aimlessly through the suburbs of LA.

A stylistic melange of Brian Wilson, David Bowie, and Damon Albarn, the song serves as the curtain closer on T.O.L.D.’s upcoming album ‘It’s Not About The Witches’ (out June 17th).
