Gang Of Youths Announce ‘Let Me Be Clear’ EP, Premiere Track With Zane Lowe, US Tour Dates‏

Off the back of their 2014 critically acclaimed five ARIA Award nominated debut album THE POSITIONS, Sydney’s Gang of Youths return with their new EP LET ME BE CLEAR. The six-track collection of new recordings features the single Strange Diseases, a song that lyricist and front man David Le’aupepe describes as “about clinging to love and life and embracing the pedestrian, finding beauty and purpose in the banal.” Today, “Strange Diseases” was premiered on award-winning DJ and producer Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 program. With a sold-out run of headlining Australian dates under their belt, the five-piece will bring their raucous live show to the US with stops in New York, LA, DC and more. Full list of worldwide tour dates available below with the EP’s official US release date to be announced in the coming weeks.

Let Me Be Clear Track listing:

1. The Good Fight

2. Native Tongue

3. Strange Diseases

4. A Sudden Light

5. Still Unbeaten Life

6. Both Sides Now (Joni Mitchell cover and bonus track)

Gang of Youths is David Le’aupepe (vocals and piano), Max Dunn (bass), Jung Kim (guitar and keyboards), Joji Malani (lead guitar) and Donnie Borzestowski (drums).  Formed in 2012, the band’s debut LP The Positions earned them critical praise, with Rolling Stone giving it a 4.5/5 stars calling it an “Astonishing LP, a record so emotionally bruised & honest.” The album famously documented singer Le’aupepe’s marriage, his wife’s diagnosis and treatment for cancer, her infidelity and their subsequent divorce, and the young singer’s suicide attempts.
