The video, which Max co-directed and which premiered on Mass Appeal on Friday, came together in an unexpected way. As Max explains, “I was driving to the video shoot set that morning and saw a street performer dancing. He was doing these incredible moves on the sidewalk. I stopped the car, picked him up, and continued onto the set. He was down for an off-the-cuff performance, which became my favorite part of the shoot, and the central idea for the entire video.” The street performer, Bass, of Austin’s IncrediCrew became the video’s star which Max called a “magic moment.”
Max Frost wrapped up his first US headline tour this past weekend, with many of the shows selling out in advance. He’ll be releasing a remix EP this Friday featuring five new remixes of “Withdrawal.”
“Withdrawal,” from Max’s recently released EP Intoxication hit #1 on Hype Machine, along with “Paranoia”and “Let Me Down Easy.” Intoxication follows Frost’s breakthrough single “White Lies” from his debut EP Low High Low that also produced numerous Hype Machine charted singles.
